Late to the party??

Library day again...Everyone who is able should really give their kids the experience of the library. I met a woman the other day who had never gone, I just felt sad for her. Not really a pity sad, just sad, because going to the library has always been such a refuge and escape for me, but she made it seem like she felt that the library was a club that no one had ever invited her to. I can't get enough of all the great books so I can't imagine never going to a library. Go to the library, they have books and things for everyone!
I was playing with my camera and I found a cool setting. It is called color accent. You can select the color that you want to show through and then the other colors with not...just tones of black and white.
Just green.
Same courtyard, just orange.

Now that I know how to change the accent color, that involved something as complicated as getting back to the main screen and scrolling, what else can I do?? (just think of what I might learn if I read the manual??? thrilling...)

I am off to the coast for ANOTHER girls weekend. I am not sure how it all worked out this way, but I don't feel like I can say no, because when might the opportunity for a fun time come back around??

I can still remember the first books I checked out of the public library as a child: Beatrix Potter's "Peter Rabbit" and Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are," On yesterday's Oprah show, she gave away Amazon Kindles. It is an electronic reading device for downloadable books (how warm and snuggly, eh?)
COOL camera feature!

Love that first pic. Love the library. When I was a kid, we went every week to the big public library and I always checked out a huge stack of books. Can't wait to get back to FL and a library!

Sheesh, I can't imagine never having stepped foot in a library! That was my refuge and hangout when I was a kid. I don't think I was ever so proud of anything as I was of my first library card. That poor, poor woman.

My mom used to strap me into the chair on the back of her bicycle and ride to the supermarket for dinner supplies and then to the library every day. She says we went through books like crazy. As an adult, if I'm upset or disconcerted or having a REALLY crummy day I find a library. They're always warm when it's cold out, and dry when it's rainy, and just the most comfortable place I know.

Love the last pic the most! Nice camera. Also, it is so nice to be back and have a GREAT library to use. We are lucky to have it.
